INTER-CLUB BOWLING

LEVIN AND RAUMATI SOUTH I An inter-club bowling match was played yesterday on the Levin bowling green berween the T.evin Club and, Raumati South. The president of the Levin Club, Mr. H G. Mackay, weleomed the visitors and expressed the hope that the day wouid be a great success from the social point oi view. He said that the green was in first rlass oider and combined with the perfect weather some good games would be experienced. In replying on behalf o1' the Raumati Club, Mr. Bromley thanked the Levin Club for the hospitality extended and hoped that a return visit to Raumati would be made in the near future. The green proved a little too fast for the visitors and Levin won the day by a comparatively large majority. Results of games, with Levin players mentioned first, are as follows: — Gardiner, Carmichael, H. Powell and Sherwood (s) 32, beat Dravbridge, Hawkins, Graham and Phillips (s) 6; Robertson, Nichoison, Burnham and Hill (s) 4s, beat Gardner, Grimes, Beer and Douglas (s) 12; Wenham Junr., H. Jones, Hughes and Meads (s) 27, beat Beckett, Maciver, Molfatt and Patterson (s) 8; W. Ward, F. P. Wilson, Haswell and R. H. Henderson (s) 26, beat Vango, Lynch, Bromley and Cummins (s) 20; Denton, Fitzgerald, Laurie and G. F.
