JXYEEGAEG1LL, Jan. 30. A nursing aide, Miss Xorma E. Kus sell, aged 18, .of 45 Parlc Street, Invercargill, lost her life in a drowning acciilent at Lake Wakatipu about 0.43 p.m. toilav. Miss Eussell arrived at Queenstown at 5 p.m. yesterdav to take up duties as a nursing aid at Frankton Hospital. After haviug tea Aliss Eussell, together with two other nurses, Misses Beverley Fraser and Florence Eawlinson went to the lake. Miss Eussell swam a considerable distance. from the shore and got into difliculties. Misses Fraser and Eawlinson swam to their compauiou's aid but were pulled under. They were forceil to free themselves and return to the beacli i'or help. Wlien a rescue partv arrived Yliss Eussell had disappeared. Gne of the other nurses was unconseious for some time as the result of her exertions. Aliss Eussell 's body was recovered.
