Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Parton, of "Green Gates," Queen Street, Levin, have returned from a tour of the North Island. Mr. E. E. Tyrrell, one of the Horowhenua Marching Association judges, has been appointed by the New Zealand Marching and lecreation Association to adjudicate at the North Island championships, which are to be held at Masterton on Saturday. The death ' oecurred on Tuesday of Rev. Brian Kilroy, Minister of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, The Terrace, Wellington. Mr. Kilroy, . who was a distinguished debater during his univ.ersity career, graduated as Master of Arts at the Otago University in 1919. He spent two years in the Theological Hall, Dunedin, and studied for two years at Westminster College, Cambridge. Licensed by the Presbytery of North London in 1922 he returned to Dunedin and served in Dunedin, Riccarton, Oamaru and Wellington. He was moderator of the Wellington Presbytery and chairman of the Centennial Management Committee during centennial year.
