CAR HITS CALF
ACCIDENT ON FOXTON ROAD When it was hit by a car on the Levin -Foxton highway during the early hours of this morning, a vealer calf, which had ap.parently broken out of a nearby paddock, was injured and had subsequently to be destroyed. The car, which was driven by Mr. James Patrick Patterson, of Paramata, sustained considerable damage to the radiator and had to be towed to Levin. It was proceeding south when the accident occurred. The driver escaped injury.
