REV. GEORGE WATSON

The Rev. George Watson, who died at Raumati on Sunday, aged 68, was vicar of Otaki at the time of his retirement in 1943. He was born in England, and took his M.A. at Oxford in 1905. After serving the Church in England, he came to New Zealand in 1920, and was for a short time curate at All Saints,' Palmerston North. He was appointed vicar of Mangaweka in 1921, where he stayed until 1926. In 1926 he became vicar of Eketahuna, and remained in that appointnient for 10 "years, when' he was transferred to Otaki. Mr. Watson is survived by his wife and a grown-up family.
