Tliree Brilish companies — tlie Air Transpon, Corporation -B.O.A.C., Britisli Eu ropcan Airways, and Britisli Soulli Americau Airways — liave formed a liou-ploiil. company to be known as internalional Aeradio, Limited. The cliairman will be Aeling Air-Commodore WhiLney Straight, nominated by Britisli European Airways. lle aniiounced* that Aeradio would be a cooperative undertaking, with Governnient.s and airline operators contributing to the cost of providing radio aids to navigation and safety gencrallv. Tlie initial capital would be £250,000, B.O.A.C. and BrilisJi European Airways holding 30 per cent. each, Britisli Soulli American Airways 10 per cent. The balance would lu* offered to Di)7ninio;i and foreign operators wishing to partieipale. Air-Commodore Straight said that the company should be showing results in side six months. The purpose of the new company is deflncd as "to inslall .and operate tele-communications and radio and radar aids to navigation throughou: the world wherever thev are required and wliere they would not be otherwise available. ' '
