TRAINERS' BADGES ADVOCATED.
De.legates to tlie quarterly meeting of ihe New Zealand Ovvners', Breeders and Traiuers' Association held in Wellington yesterday favoured the issue of/ Lrainers; badgcs.witli traiuers ; licences, tlie objeet being that it would procure traiuers adniission to all courses. Mr. C. McLaughlin, (Sydney, detailed tlie systeni as in operation in Australia, wliich, he considered, of great benefit to traiuers. It was agreed to f'orward a remit to the New eZaland liacing Confere'nce ad-. vocatiug the proposal. Branding of all racehorses was also discussed. It was decided to. hold a meeting of breeders to discuss the question next Tuesday. The meeting was attended by delegates from Hawke 's Bay, Manawatu, Wellington, Canterbury, Taranaki, Auckland and Takanuii.
