While proceeding to Wellington to j attend tiie rares and National Saies Mr. E. J. Savage, of Waimana, near Tane atua, met his death when the motor car in which he was travelliug overturned on tlio maiu highway north of Taihajie on Tiiursday. Two other occupants of tlie car, Mr. and Mrs. S. Savage, also of Taneatua, suifered concussion and were admitted to tlie Taihape Hospital. - Mr. Savage sen., who operated a breeding establislimeut in partnership vvith his sons at Waimana, had serit six juveniles by Iievelation dovvn for the saies that open on Thursday.
