AUCKLAND, Jan. (j. Satisfaction with the nunibors of ; applicants from Kew Zealand for appointments in the peacctime Royal Air Force was expressed by Wing Cominander R. E. Becuy, of the Royal Air Force mission to Australia an*l New Zealand on his arrival by Tasman flying-boat from Sydnev. He said between 800 and 850 applications had been received in answer to advcrtisements in the press. The sortiug of the applications was now completed and a programme of medical boards and j interviews would begin as soon as pos sible. In ma.jority of cases the applications came from personnel now released from service.
