WEDDING BELLS

D ORSET— MacDONALD A wedding of Levin and district interest. was solemnised in St. Andrew's Catholic .Church recently, when Mary, elder daughter of Mrs. Flora and the late Mr. Ranald A. MacDonald, of Levin, was married to .Herbert Walter, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Dorset, of "Te Pukenaumai," Manakau, by the Rev. Father E. J. Lynch. The bride, who was piped to and from the church by Miss Nancy McKenzie, of the Horowhenua Highland B'and, was escorted by her brother, Mr. Ranald MacDonald. She wore a trained gown of cream chenille embosse.d georgette, made on classical lines, with pannier effect, and wore an old family brooch. Her cream tUlle veil, lent by a friend, was held in place with a spray of real flowers, and her sheaf was of lilies. The bridesmaid, Miss Mollie McGuinn, friend of the bride, wore a reseda green _velvet oeriod frock, with gloves to tone. A muff of the velvet, with real flowers in tones of pink and mauve, Was carried and on her hair she wore limeritek lace and a spray of the same flowers. tfhe duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Marsden Staples, of Manakau. The reception room .was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride in tones of pink. When leaving by car for a tour of the nc-rth, the bride was wearing a marina linen suit, with matching hat and tan accessories. Their future home will be at Manakau.
