MAORI GIRL DROWNED
AUCKLAND, Dec. 29, A Maori girl was drowned in Lakc Rotoiti at Otaramarae this aftemoon. She was Adelaide Simon, aged seven years, daughter of Mrs. .Mata Simon, of Otaramarae. The child was found by another Maori child lying face dfrtvn in seven feet of water just o(l the jetty. A boat was moored near the wharf tmd it is assunied the child had been playing in it.
