ON THE BOWLING GREEN
TOURNEY AT PARAPARAUMU Beautiful weather and a green in ane order made a mbst enjoyable day for those bowlers who took part in the Paraparaumu Club's tournament during the weekend. There was a large gathering of bowlers, mcluding several from Outside clubs. The arrangements were capably carried out thanks to the work of the secretary (Mr. Moffatt) and an energetic committee. During the day the visitors were entertained at morning and afternoon tea. At the conclusion of the day's play Mr. Moffatt, in the absence of the president (Mr. Bromley) presented the trophies won and cxpressed the hope that all had enjoyed the day's games. He said a tournament would be held on Boxing Day, when it was expected that there would be a full green. „ The final match of the day was bctween rinks skipped by Douglas and Ross, the former winning after an interesting game. Members of j the Otaki Club who participated played well. Grey and Cahill I skipped rinks with credit, while C. Hook also took part and was one of the finalists. Bowling Notes j A competition arranged by the ! Raumati Club was finalised during jthe weekend, Miss Florence Eatwell ibeing the winner. i The Otaki Club will hold a jtournamerit on Boxing Day, com^mencing at 10 a.m.
