Personal . . Miss G.L.McGreevy, who is leaving the staff of the Otaki State School to be mafried, at a function last week, was the recipient of a gift from the school staff, who wished her happiness in the future. Miss McGreevy's services to the school, especially her work with the choii', have been very much appreciated by parents, while the children of her class- had been very happy during her t-ime with them. Otaki Congratulated "I wish to express my gratmcation at the. progress made in national savings since April 1, and extend the committee's congratulations to Wellington City, Eastbourne, Heretaunga, Otaki, Otaki Raiiway, Paraparaumu, Petone, Porirua and Waikanae on having already exeeeded their annua) quotas for the year ending March 31, 1947," said the deputy chairman of the Wellington District National Savings Committee (Mr. R. H. Nimmoj, following the final meeting of the year. The Wellington district's quota- of £606,320 had already been exeeeded by £214,913, he added. School Certificates The following Form 2 pupils at the Otaki State School were successful in gaining their school certificates:— Girls': Phyllis Merwood, Hira Bell, Joyce Taylor, Helen Davies, Rae Pothan, Heather Fox. Heather Hepburn, Valerie Watts, Marie Southen, Shirley Stratford, Gloria Cootes, Raita Carkeek, Maureen Symonds, Moana Kelly, Loas Wong, Beverley Wallace and Meta Taylor. Boys: Alec. Morgan, Michael Southcombe, Sluart Fox, Murray Dittmer. Milne Hunt, John Harvey, Tom Cook, Ron Roach, Cyril Whiteman, Amor.e Walter, Kere Dickson, Don Rikihana, Colin Jensen, Phillip Meagher and Malcolm Julius.
