Personal Mr. Underhill, who has been relieving clerk at the Bank of New Zealand, Is now stationed at Otorohanga. Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Wishart and family left yesterday for Thames, where they will attend the wedding of Mr. Wishart's younger sister. Miss Molly Curran, of Auckland, is expected to arrive in Shannon early next week. She will be the guest of her sister, Mrs. W. Moynihan, East Road, for three weeks. Miss Betty Roach, of the teaching staff, Dannevirke, has arrived home to spend the school holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Roach, Stout Street. School Garden Fund At the recent meeting of the Shannon School Committee, the headmaster, Mr. W. Dickenson reported that the school garden fund had been credited with £16, this being the amount received by Shannon as its share of the proceeds from the school's recent choir festival. Another matter of general interest reported was that swimming instruction had been given at the school baths over a period of four days by a visiting instructress.
