Thc.shiji's doctor ealled a conference of a numhei of doctor passengers who investigated tlie trouble, which, it is believed, was due to the sliip's water. Members of the .crew told them the tanks had not been reconditioned sinco 1981) aml similar outbreaks had occurred on other voyages. The secretary* of the Sliaw Savill Cov., Mr. Ralph Hodson, said tlie trouble seemed to be due to contaminn tion of food.
