' On November 16 St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Levin, ■ was the scene of the wedding of Noeline Jcan, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Farming, Kimberley, Levin, to John Anthony, eldest son; of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. DeCourcy, . Dunedin, the Rev. Father Lynch j officiating. . j The bride wore a gown of heavyj cream satin, with a gathered bodice j and a full skirt, which fell into aj train from a.low waistline. Her, veil was held in place with a head- | piece of roses and orange blossom, | and she carried a bouquet of cream roses and maidenhair f ern, which was the work of Miss M. Bevan. The two bridesmaids, Miss Jean Fanning, sister of the bride, and Miss Gwen Godber, of Wellington, were dressed alike in soft' cherry georgette frocks and carried bouquets of matching red roses, ringed with silver leaves. Mr. John Quigg,. of New Plymouth, who with both the bride and groom served in the Navy during the war years, carried out the duties of best man, assisted by Mr. Hardy Benning, of Ohau, as groomsman. Miss Eileen Bradley was the organist, and while the register was being signed Miss Maureen O'Donnell sang "Ave Maria." The bride's mother, dressed in an olive green suit, with rust hat" and brown accessories, assisted .by the bridegroom's mother, in a navy suit and hat, received the guests at the reception held in the Druids' Hall, some' of whom had travelled fvnta Whakatane, Taihape, Dunedin and Wellington. In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Fanning entertained 250 guests and friends at a d&nce in the Ohau Hall, items being given by Misses Maureen O'Donnell and Margaret Mungavin, which were enjoyed by all. Hhe bridal couple were piped into the hall by Mr. J. Frew, and later left by car for the north, the bride's travelling outfit being a matching suit and coat of smokey blue, with navy hat and accessories. The newly-wed's future home. will be Dunedim
