LOCAL AND GENERAL
Mr. E. Butt, of Paraparaumu, was a visitor to Shannon over the weekend. Mr. Pat Roach, of Wellington, spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Roach, Stout Street. Successful Rose Show The Shannon Women 's Institute held a very successful rose show in the Druids' Hall on Saturday. There was a magnificent array of blooms, and in all sections entries were very heavy. A full list of prize, winners will be published tomorrow.
