HON. A. McLAGAN REFUSED TO SHAKE IIANDS CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 28. "You've got a nerve, " said Hon. A. McLagan after his win in the Riccarton electorate last night when the National candidate, Mr. Y. W. Wilson, walked up to him and otfered to shake liands. Reference was made to the ineident when Mr. Wilson spoke at tlie National Party eentre in Lichfield Street later in tlie evening. Introducing Mr. Wilson, Mr. T. N. Gibbs said that Mr. Wilson had walked up to Mr. McLagan while he was liaving supper at 3ZB. He then toki how Mr. McLagan refused to shake hands. Mr. Wilson said that he felt Mr. McLagan 's refusal to shake liands was tlie toughest part of the campaign.
