Erom 9 a.m. there has b'eren a sfieady str'eaih of voters arriving at the local booths, particuiiAHy blderiy people who were anxious to avoid the rush periods. Representatives and friends of both"parties are actively engaged in runnihg a shuttle service with private vehicles, bringing people to and from the polling centres. The eentral booth, which is located in the courthouse, had handled 300 voting pap'Crs by 11 a.m., and long quetie's Were be'ginning to form when "The Chronicle" went to press. An air of friendliness and goodwill prevailed at all booths voters wasting no time in tendering their votes. Those who requlre i't, are receiving all the help and attentioh possible from the polling officers. There were the inevi table few who arrived to find that their names were not on the roll. in many cases this was due to ihe fact that they had neglected to make sure their names were still registered after the changes had been made in the electoral Jjoundaries. Members of the police made perlodical visits to all booths throughout the morning, but found everything proceeding quietiy.
