ANNUAL SALE OF WORK
— : ST. MAfeY'S GtJiLD'S EFEORT The annual sale of work conducted by the members of the St. Mary's Guild was held yesterday, and as usual attracted a large number of bargain seekers. All types of saleable goods werd 011 the market :an& brisk business was continued until late afternoon at all the gaily decorated stalls. The Mayor, Mr. H. B. Burdekin, officially opened the proceedings and apologised at not being present to open the flower show, which was held earlier in the year. He said that it was always a pleasure to be at suc-h functlons. The wonderful success which attended them was due to 'the untirmg e'fforts of the, members of the guild, and their work was deeply appreciated. ..The stall holders were: — Sweet: Mesdames H. L. Jenkins and G. L. Glover; fancy: Mesdames A. O. Powell and Williams; produce: Mesdames L. Phillips and J. Henderson; plant and floWers: Mesdames N. Vickers, W. Duguid and A. C. •Hatch-; apron: Mesdames. j. Milnes and S. E. Mulcahy; jumble: Mrs. M. A. Blenkhorn and Rev. G. B. Stote-Blandy.
