FLOWER SHOW AT TE HORO

A SUCCESSFUL EXHIBITION The second flower show organised by the .Women's Division of Federated Farmers was held in the Te Horo Hall recently. Due to the unfavourable season, the exhibition of flowers did not measure up to last year's excellent standard, but under the circumstances was quite a creditable display. Special mention should be made of the display table which, thanks to the energetic efforts of Mrs. C. C. Holmes, was a very pleasing and interesting feature, .some beautiful and uncommon exhibits being • shown. Thanks are due to all who supplied plants or flowers for this table. Credit is also due to the school children and to Mr. J. A. Duncan (headmaster) . The president, Mrs. Walker, in calling on the Manawatu provincial president, Mrs. Jenkins, to open the show, specially thanked the children and Mrs. Duncan for their excellent showing.
