AUCKLAND, Nov. 13. Although the recent bakers' award provides for a working week of six days,. a well-attended nieeting of the Auckland braneh of the Bakers' and Pastryeooks ' Uhion deeided to continue the present practice of baking 011 live days only. Little comment 011 the position was made by employers tonight, the presi dent of the Auckland Master Bakers' Association, Mr. A. E. Brownlie, stating that there seemed little that couhl be done. After the meeting the seeretary of the Union, Mr. Bourke, said tlie' present working conditions had been in force since January and there had been no shortage of bread. Members, by tlieir resolution, had showu that tliev were prepared to turn out all tne bread required to satisfy t.je public demaiul. They eonsidered there was no necessity for work on Saturdav.
