AUCKLAND, Nov. 13. A go-slow policy in the building trade was decided against by a narrow margin at a lively crowded meeting of the Auckland Builders' and General Labourers ' Union tonight. The suggestion of • a go-slow policy was made last week as a protest against the lodging by employers of an objection ' to the new building and allied trades labourers' award with the Arbitration Court. " In view of tlie quarrv owners withdrawing tlieir objection and the intention of master builders to make common cause with us in pres^ing for the ra.tiftcation of the^ eomplete agreement r6ached in July, and liaving noted with satisfaction that the case is to be lieard by the Arbitration Court on November 15, we accept the recommendation of our officers to cancel the go-slow policy," stated a resolution which was qarried by 69 votes to 57. "We authorise our ohicials to put the go-slow policy into eh'ect in the event of any further undue delay in iinalising the i award."
