.1 * AUCKLAND, Nov. Vi. A motor car valned at £525, -aceessories worth £30, and 30s in eash, were stolen by thieves who broke into 'the premises of K. M. Grierson, Ltd., motor i engineers, of Cross Street, on Tuesdav night. Opened in February of this year, the business is operated by two returned servicemen to wliom the los^ will be a severe setbaelc. The windows of the garage are protected by heavy irun bars- but the thieves, to gain entrv, found one at the back from which a'ba-r was missing, and climbed into the basement after smashing the glass. They took a wheel, tyre and tube from the boot of a client 's car and another wheel tyre and tube and single tyre standing j iii the corner of the garage. The casli was* stolen from the office. After interfering with another client 's vehicle the burglars dTove out through the front doors in an English car, the property of Mr. Grierson. It had just been eom- - pletely koverliauled and repainted.
