CARD EVENING

Mr. and Mrs. Synnott's residence in Waerenga Road was en fete for the scouts' card evening on Tuesday. Gay spring blooms decorated the card rooms, where bridge and 500 were indulged in. The prize winners were Mrs. Boyd (bridge) and Mrs. Evans and Mr. Meyer (500) , .while Miss Clarke and Mr. Synnott won the booby bouquets. Mrs. Davies and Mr. Welch (Wellington) sat in the lucky seats. A delicious supper was provided by the ladies of the scouts' committee. Mr. Berry thanked Mr. and Mrs. Synnott for the use of their home, mentioning the. great help to the scouts' fund that accrued therefrom. The next party will be held on November 19, also at Mrs. Synnott's.
