By Telegraph-
CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 29. "Chrisrcnurch is the leading city in food saving and in other branches of the food for Britain campaign," said the Prime MinisLer (Mr. Fraser) today. "The latest returns are splendid. Christchurch has now saved , 932,000 coupons in 28 weeks, which is easily the highest number for New Zealand, and, taking all centres. into account, the seventh in proportion to the population. It is equivalent to 151 tons ' of/ meat and nine tons of butter. It i$( noteworthy that Christchurch figures have increased since the campaign started, and are as high now as -ver. A recent example of the organisation was the drive for fat the weekend before last, when they eollected 11 tons of fat."
