WELLINGTON, uct. 24. "Is there any truth in the rumoui going about tliat the Government is going to take over the Europa Petro! Conipany?" asked an interjector when the. Alinister of Finance, Mr. Nash, wai addressing eleetors at Waterloo tonight Alr. Nash: "I have heard nolhing about it but the Anglo-Iranian Com pany miglit." The interjector: "If you did you would have' a good control set up." Alr. Nash: "Do you think.it would be a good thing?" The interjector: "TI wouldn 't be : bad buy. ' ' Alr. Nash: "Good. We agree on om thing then." Alr. Nash had been explaining to the audience the reasons why the Government had decided to establish a (State oil company and the agreement with the Anglo-Iranian Oil Companj' foi tliat purpose.
