Advice that he had retired from" the executive committee of the Power Boards' and Supply Authorities; Association was made by Mr. G. A. Monk at the' monthly meeting of the Horowhenua Power Board this week. On the motion of Mr. T. G. Vincent, seconded by Mr. W. E. Barber, the board placed on record its appreciation of Mr. Monk's service on the executive of the association. Other members also referred to Mr. Monk's valuable service. Mr. Monk replied that he had been 23 years on the executive, and his decision. to retire did not mean that he would cease to take an interest in its activities. He thought he should make way for new members. '
