OTAKI BOWLING CLUB
OCTOBER MEETING The monthly meeting of the Otaki Bowling Club was held on Tuesday night, the president, Mr. W. Wilson, occupying the chair. It was stated that the green would be in good order for the opening day on Saturday, while it was agreed that the grounds be further beautified by the planting of flowers, etc. Voluntary work was offered. A tribute. was paid to the good work aec'omplished on the grounds by Mr. Walsh, and thanks were tendered him. The resignation of Mr. Turoa Webster was
received with regret. Mr. Guise, the club's delegate on the centre, wrote thnking the club for electing him an , honorary member", while 'he stated "in his letter that he had made application for the club to hold a tournament. A blue pririt of the proposed new scoring board was received from the Wellington Centre, but thfe matter was held in abeyance. It was stated that Otaki would be first on the list for a match with Paekakariki for the Mexted Cup, the date to be yet fixed. Both the N.Z. Association and the | Wellington Centre wrote wishing the club a successful season.
