To date this season there have been 11 two-year-old races, and no less than 11 diilereiit winners have been returned, viz.: Fellowship, by Eobin Goodfellow; Ninnid, by Balloeh; Deluonic, by Defaulter; Lady Christine, by Chrislopher Eobin; Sea Lad, by Tiderace; Yeiue d'Or, by Beau Vite; Laugspiel, by Laug Biau; Petre Mar, by Croupier; Excellency, by Salmaguudi; .VelveJiue, by Theio; aud Shirley Fox, by Foxbridge. Thus it will be seen that the 11 winners are represeiited by 11 different sires. The latest aud most importaut winner is Shirley Fox, who aeeouuted for several well-perfor:ned juveiiiles iu easy style iu the Weieome Stakes at Ellerslie last Suturday. A neat brown lilly by Foxbridge from Valdene, she is a lialfsister lu Kirstyinae, who won the Wanganui Debutaute Stakes last year. Valdene is by Vaals from Danesia, by 1'iince Merriwce from Te Papapa, by Marble Arcli. Shirley Fox is trained at Avondale by S. G. Lindsay for Mrs. A. D. llall, who enjoyed a fair measurc of suceess with Abbey Fox.
