SOME PRISONERS GIVE IN
DARTMOOR HUNGER STRIKE ] Received Tuesday, 11 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 14. Some of the twenty-five military ' prisoners at Dartmoor, who went jn a hunger strike after hearing ; ffiat the convictions of the Malaya paratroopers were quashed, ate Meir first meal for four days ihortly before noon. They gave in after the governor of the prison promised to investigate their complaints individually. The prisoners want their eases reviewed. They protest against 'ffieir sentences, whieh- they claim vere for offences similar to those oi the paratroopers in Malaya. An army doctor has begurt an inspection of the strikers. He declared that several of the men were too exhausted for work.
