GERMAN LOCAL ELECTIONS

CHRISTIAN DEMOCRATS LEAD Received Tuesday, 11 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 14. The Christian Democrats are Ieading in the British zone municipal elections, says a Hamburg message. They have obtained 2221 seats and 5,389,608 votes. The Social Democrats have 1422 seats and 5,053,265 votes, and the Lower Saxony Party 239 seats and 446,782 votes. The Christian Democrats are also Ieading in the French zone with more than fifty per cent of the votes. The Socialists polled twentyfive per cent and the Conservatives and Communists nine per cent.
