In Caprieornia the Opposition candidate, Mr. Davidson, is 32 votes off an absolute majority with the Minister ror the Armv, Mr. Forde 2424 votes behind. The only seat still really in doubt is Swan, West Australia. where tlie Labour member leads the Country Party candidate, Mr. Hamilton, by 7761 with .12,666 preference votes yet to be alloeated. In Bourke, Victoria, tlie Independent Labour candidate, Mrs. Blackburn, defeated the Labour member, Mr. Brvson, by 1489,
