TE HORO SCHOOL
ARRANGEMENTS FOR JUBILEE Arrangements for the jubilee to be held in connection with the Te Horo School are well in hand, and with an energetic committee no stone will be left unturned to make the gathering a big success. Members of the committee are certainly workers, and backed up by others are preparing to cater for a large gathering. Up to yesterday afternoon some three hundred letters had been received from those who hope to be present, while many more similar letters are expected. Several have made voluntary contributions and their generosity will be rewarded, it being the committee's intention to present each with a badge, and entertain them. Many who have signified their intention of 'taking part hail from as far north as Auckland. Among those present will be Mr. Drummond, headmaster of the school when it first opened in 1893. j Mr. Drummond, who at present j lives in Masterton, is well-known! both in the Horowhenua and ; Wairarapa districts, having been j headmaster at schools in the latter district.
