AUCKLAND, Oct. 10. No colliers will in- future be workod at Auckland on Sun days, aceording to a decision of the Auckland branch of the Waterside Workers' Union. Colliers, in the past, have been treated as preferenee ships bv the Waterfront Tndustrv Commission order and have been the only vessols worked on Sundays. ' ' If the work was giving increased gas supplies to lioiisewives and the industries of Auckland, our men would work on Sundays but there has been a clear indication in the last few weeks that coal supplies are not responsible for the shortage of gas," said Mr. II. Barnes, Auckland union present, after the meeting. Large supplies of coai were reeently received without on improvement in the situation. If the service were .dependent on the men's efforts thev were prepared to work on Sundays but this was not the case.
