STATE WILL HAVE SECTIONS FOR SALE

WELLINGTON, Oct. 10. Tlie Housiug Construction Departnient would sell suitable fully serviced sections wlierever possible, witli preference t-o returned sef.vicemen, said Hon. R. Bemple toniglit. The Minister said that in a major lipusing schenie sueh a's Tamaki in Auckland, and Porirua, ,/noar Wellington, a "V.ery large liumber ot' sections would be' disposed of but the public >uust bear in mind that before this eould be done, niuch survey and subdivisional work must be carried out as vvell as roading and other serviees. About 1000 sections would be available to the public in the Tamaki area and 100 at Mt. ltoskill. A similar nurnber would l>e available in the Porirua basin and sections for horne-build-ers wonld be made available in other towns and districts wlierever possible although in soine towns the department Had a few serviced sections available beyond its own requirements.
