FUNCTION AT KOPUTAROA * A large crowd attended a recent welcome home social evening m the Koputaroa Hall to Dvr. R. A. Kernohan. The function was arranged by the Koputaroa Overseas Comrnittee, which has arranged farewells and welcome homes to all service personnel who left the Koputaroa district and served overseas. The welcome speech was made by Mr. J. Sciascia, who said that Dvr. Kernohan was the last of the Koputaroa boys to return home, and it was pleasing to note that so many of those who had served overseas had returned. In concluding, Mr. Sciascia stressed the neefd for the public to have patience with the returned rnen, as a few days after their return most of them were back in civilian clothes and trying to forget. -tb,e war period.
