BOWLER'S GENEROUS OFFER

WELLINGTON, Oct. 8. The offer of a donation of £100 towards the expenses of a greenkeeper or green superintendent from eaeh of the Centres affiliated to the N.Z. Bowling Association, to attend a course of leetures' and demonstrations covering three or four days at Palmerston North, has been made by Mr. Andrew Fletcher of Wellington. This was notified to a meeting of the Wellington Centre by the president, Mr. W. F. Hadwin toniglit. He stated the green researeh conimittee at Palmerston North liad receivcd a lctter to this eflt'ect from Mr. Fletcher. The matter is to be discussed at the half-yearly meeti,ng of the Bowling Council in Wellington next February.
