Wing Commander Caradus, chief inspector of secondary schools, has been appointed chief inspector of post primary schools, a further step in the unification of secondary °and technical schools. Second Lieutenant W. W. Nockels, who recently returned to New Zealand from the Middle East and Japan after several years' service with ;he New Zealand Army Medical / orps, has resumed his former piiition as qualified assistant with Mr. C. S. Keedwell's Pnarmacy. One of the oldest figures in the public life of the Dominion, Mr. John W. Card, the veteran Mayor of Featherston, has completed 50 years of continuous local body service. The Featherston Borough Council, at a recent meeting, placed the event on record and congratulated Mr. Card on his record of great service to the public.
