PAMIR TAKEN IN TOW

WELLINGTON, Sept. 29. The barque Parair, en rout'e to WelJing.ton from Yancouver with 4300 tons of coal,, was taken in tow by the Union ■Coiopany's xnotor vessel Kanna at 5.30 p.m. today. At the time when contact : was made between the two vessels, it was estimated the Pamir was 150 to 200 mile's from Wellington in an eastexly or northeasterly direetion. No a3viee has been received .as to the state of the weather -when the tow was talcen up but it is thought the two ships will npt reaeh Wellington at least before Monday night.
