LEVIN SCOUTS FOR WORLD JAMBOREE

BOYS WORKING TO RAISE FUNDS If the three Levin scouts who are qualiiied are to attend the World jamboree in France next year, it will cost from £500 to £600. The scouts themselves are hoping to earn as much of this sum as possible, and all members of the troop are looking for ways of making money. There is a fine co-opera-tive snirit among the boys, and every member of the troop is willing to turn to in order to send these three boys to the jamboree. Among other means of raising the funds is the idea of growing potatoes for sale. The need at present is a suitable area of land for this purpose. Anybody who has from one to four acres of land in or near Levin, and who is willing to lend or lease it to the scouts to make this effort possible, is invited to communicate with the secretary of the Levin Scout Committee, Mr. A. C, Kenneriey.
