WELLINGTON, Sept. 10. The recent tragody in the Tararuas further emphasised the need of training arnl experienoe before lenglhy and strenuous tramps were undertaken, said the Minister of Internal Ail'airs (Mr. Farrv) today. "We. all admirc the spirit of selfrelianee and iudepemlence in our young mon and women," said the Minister, "but oaro must be taken to prevent that spirit developing into foolhardiness. " He wannly pniised the members of the Tararua aml llutt Tramping Clubs and the Public Works men who respondfil to ihe eall for assistance, :ui(l carried Alr. P. Green back to Kaitoke over most diihcult couniry. Alr. I'arry extended sympathy to the xelatives of Mr. G. Aitken, who perished near the -Mt. Alpha hnt.
