A strong protest against tlie possible exclusion of Maori players in t-lie New Zealund Rugby teaiu to visit South At'rica was made at a meeting of the execulivo of the Hastings Rugby Football Sub-Union last evening. The l'ollowiug resolution was passed: "That this sub-union views with alarm the suggestiou that a New Zealand representative team should be sent to South Afriea without the inelusion of Maori players, and is of the opinion that future tours of South Afriea should be abandoned if the inelusion of eligible -Maori players is debarrcd. "
