ROCKET AIR MAIL IN TWO YEARS
Received Friday, 7.0 p.m. ' _ LONDON, August 23. A "roeket" airmail service between Britain and America is being discussecl. . It is repnrted that first' steps liaA'e been taken and a launching site in_ Ungland ha,s b,een aurveyed, and bought by the Air Ministry. Lxperiments are also being carried ont. It* they are successful, a service of radio-controlled mail and light freight roekets travelling about 2000 miles hourly, will eventually be created. They wouldcross the Atlantic in 90 minutes. One estimate is that the serAdee may begin within tAATo years. The roqkets will be pilotless, radio -guided, supersonic projectiles bearing some felation to highspeed aircraft design and powerecl by what is known as the athodyd, a development of jet'propulsion whieh eomes -nearer to perpetual mofion than any other known for-m of prop.ulsion.
