PLAY CENTRE APPEAL

PUBLIC C ONTRIBUTES £145 Generous .public -support made Tuesday's appeal for funds for the Levin Children's Play Centre a success. Through the shop and street appeal £145 was raised. The committee wishes to thank all those who supported the appeal, there being so many who did so that it would be impossible to mention their names. Yesterday the committee went to Felding and inspected the centre there in order to get some idea of ihe equipment, • toys, etc., that would be required. The centre will be opened on Tuesday, September 10, and will be available to all mothers. The committee wishes to emphasise that fact in view of the rumours that have been circulated lately, that the- centre would be available only to members of the Mothers' Club.
