HOROWHENUA RUGBY

MEETING OF EXECUTIVE ■A meeting of th'e management committee of the Horowhenua Rugby Union was held last evening, when there were present: Messrs. A. Gillespie (chairman) , J. A. Zuppicich (secretary) , J. D. McFarlane, H. Wylie, N. Winiata, R. L. Robiikson and H. Robson. It was decided to accept September 14 for a senior representative match at Wellington and August 31 for a third grade representative game at Levin. August 31 was accepted as the date for the Bebbington Shield match at Pahiatua, It was decided that thejtfash Cup competition commence on August 17, and that it take the form of a knock-out competition, the games to be played irrespective of representative fixtures. The Hui Mai v. Athletic match on Saturday was declared as Hui Mai's challenge for the Easton and McLennan Cups. A letter was received from the Bush Union advising the- Horowhenua Union that September 7 had been accepted as a date for a junior representative match at Levin. ______
