FUNERAL OF THE LATE MR. F. J. MAIN

-«»- — The funeral of the late Frederick James Main, who passed away at nis residence, 40 Burns Avenue, Palmerston North, last week, foliowing an illness of two montho' duration, took place at the Terrace End cemetery, Palmerston Nortn, last Saturday, Monsignor J. F. MacManus officiating. Tlie pallbearers were his brother-in-law. Mr. Grainger, Messrs Colbey and Hartley, of the P.W.D., Palmerston North, Mr. Martin Curran, Palmerston North, and Messrs. J. J. rlennessy and T. Moynihan, Shannon. Messrs. J. D. Campbell. J. Baker, W. Grey and E. Slvines represented the P.W.D. electrical branch at Mangaore, as the late Mr. -Main was employed there prior to his transfer to Palmerston North some twelve years ago. There were many beautiful floral tributes. lestifying to the esteem in which ihe late gentleman was held.
