AUUKDAND, August o. Production at the Portland cement works is still being reduced because of the eoal sliortages. It was stated today that there was still sufficient coal to koep the kilns at Wilson (N:Z.) Portland Cement, Ltd., operating at half tlie normal output and when fresh supplies arrived it was hoped to be able to increase production slightly., 1 The Kaimiro, wliich is understood trt be bringtng a load of coal 'to Pqftlandj is heldyip at Westport and is not'likely to arrive for some days. The full capacitv of the works is 3200 tons of cement a week.
