For tlie second time during the season the 18-year-old Scot, Alan Paterson, jumped higher than 6ft. fiins. yesterday when he broke the Seottish alteoiners' record at Glasgow. Patefson firstly broke his own Seottish record of 6ft. 3ins. witli a jump of 6ft. 4ins. and went 011 to elear fift. 64ins. thus beating bv one-eighth of an inch, the American, H. M. Osborne 's record.
