TWO BOYS ON TRICYCLES HIT BY CAR
LUCKY ESCAPE FROM SERIOUS INJURY An accident which could have been attended with serious consequences occurred in Bath Street, near the Levin Public Library, shortly before 1 p.m. to-day, when two small boys on tricycles were struck by a car. The boys were crossing the street on their way back to school, while the car, driven by Mr. J. W. Lyndh, of Levin, was turning from Oxford Street into Bath Street to proceed in a westerly direction. One of the boys, Brian Broadbent, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Broadbent, of Devon Street, was thrown beneath the vehicle, which had to be lifted before he could be extricated. He suffered abrasions and shock, and was lueky to escape serious injury. His companion was thrown clear and was unhurt.
